About: While Adelaide's American, not English, she actually comes from the very early Victorian era and remembers the Regency era with fondness. The wife of a whaleship captain, she's used to being independent while her husband goes gallivanting off to the ends of the earth in search of his quarry. She's well-grounded, but plucky, and often very lonely.

About: The housemaid to an eccentric engineer, Ducky has a very odd mix of skills that include combat strategy, pickpocketing, espionage and baking. A quiet, diminutive woman, she's easily overlooked, and that's just the way she likes it.

About: The most pure of heart 6'5 giant man. Too pure for this world in fact because he also just so happens to have died (I'll be taking him from the end of Phantom Blood). He's a Victorian gentleman so it'll be weird for him actually being somewhere that's based on a time period even earlier than the one he's from.

About: For starters as a vampire she's between 500-700 years old so will be like oh this shit again? She's also Greek so a double whammy to her with all of the gods stuff. She enjoys walks in the moonlight, drinking blood and organising orgies.

About: Known throughout fandom as the Jane Austen Cat Wizard, and with good reason. He has it all, he has a tragic backstory, he can pull off an elegant long jacket, he has a cat! Herr Widogast is a wizard with a strong cause who just wants to 'leave the world better than he found it'. This man is inquisitive and ambitious to a fault, with a never-ending thirst for knowledge which could very well prove advantageous in the glittering decadent swirl of ton-life.

While being aloof and rather cold at times, his chaotic group of friends did find the allusive warmer, softer side of him, so perhaps others will be brave enough to look for it as well.

Also I really want to put him in pretty dresses and waistcoats and play regency socializing and romance, because that gives me life.

Usually a good guy who's good at fighting, but what he's really good at is brooding.

About: Diplomatically snarky little shit who accidentally ended up at the centre of almost everything that happened in Kirkwall despite just wanting to settle down after escaping Lotharing and the Blight. Tries her best.



There are a couple others I'm contemplating as possibilities (an obscure musical character, an original character or two, a Witcher character or two, a Teen Wolf character, and maybe a Game of Thrones character) but these are the two I'm most contemplating. I just have a lot of thoughts because this game has me incredibly excited and intrigued.

About: certified as the only Sane character in Resident Evil, probably bc she's the only one who saw all the zombies and was like "I'll work with the traumatized orphaned children it's cool." Despite that she does keep ending up in the middle of zombie outbreaks and can't help but mouth off to the evil crazy people. Has no marketable skills but she's in her 30s so it's fine

About: Former prodigy child who does all the science, has been forced to wear weird fancy dresses by strange men before so honestly this wouldn't be the worst place to end up, even if the science would horrify her.

About: Dirty-mouthed sorceress who hates everyone and everything with a physic link to her armband that's slowly driving her insane. She was recently forced into a dystopian fantasy world so why not fantasy regency next?

About: Bright, cheerful, and absolutely chock-full of mysterious secrets, Aerith is a friend to everyone she meets, or at least she’ll try her best to be. Coming from the slums of Midgar (a cyberpunk-flavored dystopian metropolis run by the fascist power company) the setting will be a culture shock, and she’s more than likely to ignore societal norms at will, but I think it could be a fun time.

About: She's a young martial artist with a sponge-like ability to pick up new fighting styles, and the soul of a grouchy old man. Despite her surly exterior, Fei is governed by a selfless code of ethics that usually finds her jumping into the fray to defend those who can't stick up for themselves and to punch evil in the dick. She will be absolutely furious with the fashion of the day, and I think the fish-out-of-water antics could be a fun time.

About: A doctor from rural 1770s Cornwall, Dwight is a gentle, principled man who hits the respect women juice hard. Known for making sensational (for his day) medical decisions (like treating patients with actual medicine instead of leeches), and choosing to live within and serve a mining community rather than a big city where he'd make more money he’s an all-around good bean.

This setting is too perfect for my wayward steampunk mages! They are all OCs from the same world. Here are the top candidates!

Canon: Original
About: Altair was the first and last commoner to be chosen as a mage and the consequences of that choice, which was forced onto him has left him scarred and very distrusting of others. He tries to keep people at a distance but he's fiercely loyal and surprisingly sweet to anyone who slips past his walls. He's a shadow mage, a being made of magic that is tied to his human soul. As the shadow mage he can shape his magic into shadows and he has a connection to souls that allows him to hear a person's soul song, a musical representation of their soul, when he touches someone's shadow.

Altair was forced to join the noble aristocracy when he was chosen as a mage and he hates pretending to be a noble so he will love it here lol. I'm also taking him from an earlier timeline than I usually play him. His home hasn't been destroyed so he's less traumatized and more rebellious.



Character: Sheliak Saarela
Canon: Original
About: Sheliak is a the only son and heir to the Saarela house. He has strived to be the perfect son to the point where he even hides his flaws behind an icy mask of perfection. He rarely shows his flawed side to anyone and has always put his responsibility to the family above everything else, with one exception. As the water mage, he can shape his magic into water and he has the gift of foresight, specifically how close someone is to death.

Unlike Altair Sheliak has always been a noble and he takes comfort in etiquette's strict rules so he will fit right in with the setting.



Character: Rastaban Aesen
Canon: Original
About: Rastaban was born weak and as the sole son of a noble house that weakness reflected poorly on his family so he created the persona of a twin sister to protect his family's public image. As a woman he and his family faced less criticism and he was free to be what he wanted without having to deal with anyone's pity. As Rasta, he's quiet and polite, while Rastaban is blunt and sarcastic. Rasta protects his image so he don't worry about speaking his mind when he can be himself, usually at home or with trusted friends. He rarely goes outside as Rastaban, which suits him just fine. He's an herbalist who finds plants much better company than people. He gets more than enough social interaction as Rasta.

Rastaban is an energy vampire. As the life mage he can shape see and steal life energy. Unlike the other mages, Rastaban's magic need life energy. He can use his own, or steal from others. Due to his weak body, he's addicted to life energy but he has only gone too far and killed someone once and he swore to never do it again.

About: Touch starved gayngel that teases his boyfriend to the brink of insanity but just wants to live a domestic lovey-dovey life. More trouble than he's worth, but too charming to ignore. He's living in an Utena side story and he's doing his best. Plays the guitar all the time, but sings badly while doing it.

About: He's an android. Depending on how you play the game he can die. A lot. He's a good boy who just wants to live and be free while following the leader of the androids around. Doesn't hate humans, but he sure is ba da ba ba baaa mcfucking cautious around them. In his world deviant (meaning sentient) androids like him are hunted down and terminated sooo... yes. Will probably hide what he is from everyone here until he realizes it's not a problem. OR IS IT?

About: i promise i play more muses than this, i swear. queen in the north, or might be taken from an earlier canon point (though definitely season 6 onwards). very adept at playing political games, will probably find the low stakes of the ton amusing and frustrating. have another gif!


Character: alanna of trebond & olau
Canon: song of the lioness quartet + tortall
About: likely will be taken from canonpoint lioness rampant onwards where she is the only lady knight in tortall (sensing a theme here...) similar to brienne, another woman who refuses to get in the box, with much more of a temper and a complex about it. around lioness rampant is where alanna is actually discovering that she doesn't have to hate feminine things to be herself, so might fit into the setting a bit more easily than brienne. prickly overall, but not a bad bean. no gif because nostalgia book series, but have fanart courtesy of minuiko at tumblr.

About: If you have not had the displeasure of watching the Netflix adaptation of The Witcher, allow me to introduce Geralt of Rivia. Geralt is a mutated human monster hunter known as a 'Witcher' who acts like he's totally too grumpy and cool to be involved in silly things like being a good person and protecting people, but he also has terminal dumb, nosy bitch disease which drives the plot of the story.

About: Beau is a human monk from critically acclaimed Critical Role, campaign 2. She's blunt, quick, incredibly good at fighting and a very dependable friend and also the worst. Beau is a lesbian and not very feminine which would be.. interesting for her in the setting. She's also rebellious and not very good at accepting feedback or direction.

Also, she's shredded and yes ladies, you can touch her abs.

About: Look, a butler with a butler is probably the funniest thing I can think of. That said, he is the help, but also one of the most competent people in Gotham. I think he'd take on the era with aplomb. Expect to be mentored. Expect to be dadded by the gruffest cockney butler ever. Maybe it takes a goddess to make the hardest working man in Gotham take some time for himself. And maybe hell will freeze over.

About: Grossly competent Caviler and Second to the smartest man in the room. Grossly Codependent to the smartest man in the room while also having absolutely all of her autonomy. Loyal, practical, driven librarian's assistant. Easily underestimated, thoroughly bad ass.

Canon point from before Spoilers(if you know, you know) because yeah. I ain't playing that.



Character: Eadwulf Grieve
Canon: Critical Role
About: what if the canon character with the least amount of screen time got more? Wulf is the stoic member of a trio turned duo. He comes complete with his own tragic backstory and a tendency to look absolutely unfair in a well cut uniform. A former Yes Man now learning to think for himself so being slammed into a new world might actually be helpful for that. Did I also mention he's also a wizard swordsman who prays to a forbidden death god? Nothing could be more metal.

About: The only offering without Codependency Issues!!!
Soulless Monster Hunter. Technical Monster Fucker (they are monsters until he touches them, it's complicated). Scandalous Dandy who grew up in Steampunk Regency era, complete with problematic backstory, absolutely killer fashion sense, and absolutely no morals. He's the one your parents warned you about.
