POTENTIALLY PRESENTING...

Name: Solstice
Character: Adelaide Waite
Canon: Going to Weather (webcomic)
About: While Adelaide's American, not English, she actually comes from the very early Victorian era and remembers the Regency era with fondness. The wife of a whaleship captain, she's used to being independent while her husband goes gallivanting off to the ends of the earth in search of his quarry. She's well-grounded, but plucky, and often very lonely.


Character: Maureen "Ducky" DeCecco
Canon: Lavender Jack (webcomic)
About: The housemaid to an eccentric engineer, Ducky has a very odd mix of skills that include combat strategy, pickpocketing, espionage and baking. A quiet, diminutive woman, she's easily overlooked, and that's just the way she likes it.

i know literally nothing about lavander jack, but i the art style looks super good!! also, since everyone in this game gets assigned a maid/butler at arrival, it'll be really fun to see how a housemaid feels about having her own housemaid

The thing about Ducky is:
a.) She's a chameleon. In her world, at this time, the guise of a housemaid is convenient for her, because it allows her to acquire the right gossip and information on the streets of Gallery. Later in canon, she slots into the role of devoted wife to her former employer. Are they involved in a romantic way? No, and not exclusively either. But it works for her.

For this reason, she's not going to trust her assigned servant in the least!

b.) Because of the unique training she received as a child, there are many places in the game you've set up where she'll be comfortable. Will she spend her time in the Academic Quarter, plumbing the minds of the elite? Will she remember her smuggler relatives and be enamored with the Naval quarter?

c.) She is bad at intimacy. She is likely going to be a pauper for a while in terms of Thumos, because the Duck is not a trusting person. And that's part of her appeal in a setting like this, learning how to crack the nut open.

(though I did play her in Dupe, so I do know how to get her there, and where her kinklist leads...)
