Thank you for the considered response, and I'm very glad that I asked. Lahabrea is very much a "burn the entire house down" sort of fellow if he deems something a serious enough threat (though fortunately not literally in this case).
Perhaps as a compromise he can summon fire to scatter them/scare them away for a time, but the pollen has already gone everywhere by then. It'll also be a good opportunity for him to discover there are boundaries to what his magic can do here - something he won't be used to.
While I don't plan on describing any harm against the butterflies, I'll be happy to place a content warning so others can avoid any discomfort from reading attempted actions against them.
