He's pacing now, finger tracing its way down the page of notes. "The ring is puzzling too, as that wasn't a factor in the tale, but perhaps I'm getting a bit too caught up on the analogy. I was looking around on the ground to see if there was perhaps a ring lying around somewhere, but no luck with that either..."
