Ah, so the water god-- Poseidon, his wife left him and thus he decided to grace us with a flood that lasted for a few days, then there was the tentacles and the turning of people into siren's or mermaids; also there were shells that whispered dirty things into your ear.

All of it was water themed. I do not think that they were choosing to mess with us directly but we did get caught in the crossfire.
