[Moments lapsed, and he stood frozen solid to that spot. Eliot knew he had a decision to make. Quentin's voice sounded again and it rang solid, right into the very core of his being. He couldn't ignore it. Traversing the rest of the path, he moved to stand before the wallowing little frog before him.

One and then another small salt filled bit of water fell down his face. It was so easy to blame it on the heat and moisture in the cavern. It was sweltering, and Eliot was grateful that he'd already removed all his clothes, least they stick to the trickles that formed between his shoulders and ran rivulets down his spine.

His breath caught in his chest and he nodded instead of speaking. That was good enough, right? Swallowing, Eliot slowly moved into the water, finding a space where the rocks ended in a small drop off. He reached for Q--]


It's you. Tell me. Tell me you remember me, remember.... us...

[The last word was whispered, because really, how lucky could he get. They were both young again, and anything could have happened. They were in a strange world. Did they both magically zap here after the story ended? Had Q found the key, was that why they were here? So many things...]
