( for suletta, waking up in a strange, new world with a strange, new woman hovering over her who looks identical to her mother but clearly is not her mother is, in a word, entirely overwhelming. even though this maid has the appearance of okaasan, the distant and unfamiliar way that she regards suletta is entirely foreign. everything about this place is foreign! where are the robots?? the colonies?? where is miorine?? ariel?? guel?? ceres??? anyone????
it shouldn't come as a surprise that suletta can barely manage to stammer two words out.
even as okaasan-not-okaasan walks her through the town, suletta's too taken aback for her words to come out as anything more than 'b-b-b-b-but!' and her maid hardly pays attention to that. suletta jumps at the sight of an openly burning candle, and she scurries away from a horse drawn carriage [because those beasts look massive and terrifying!]. by the time she's introduced to her own townhouse, she's thoroughly exhausted from trying to make sense of things that clearly don't make sense. she doesn't know what she's meant to do! the woman in the maid uniform had explained it, but suletta was too busy hiding from the weird ladies in the giant dresses to pay it any mind.
now that she has time to herself, suletta tiptoes out of her room, down to the common area, and just about throws herself on the ground before the first person she sees. it started off as a modest bow, but she bowed so low that she lost her balance and ended up a panicked puddle on the ground. )
I-I-I... I need your help!!!
  we dance in synchronous rotation
( a few hours between arriving and receiving the invitation isn't nearly enough for suletta to get her head on straight. the maid woman keeps popping in, and suletta is hit with comfort, because it's her mother, and fear, because this woman ABSOLUTELY IS NOT HER MOTHER!! in the end, she decides going to the ball makes more sense than sitting alone in her room. maybe that's where she'll find miorine! and, if nothing else, she might be able to ask after other people and see what she can find out.
her fake!mom recommends a green dress, which isn't like the last dress she wore at all. she doesn't have it in her to argue, since this woman is already so off-putting as it is.
when she arrives, suletta is starstruck all over again. the last time she was at a ball, it was more of a business event, all for show. people there didn't really didn't dance at all. so, it's fascinating, really, to see so many people moving so elegantly. suletta finds herself mesmerized, drifting closer to the dance floor to get a better look at the movements and the motions. it's so elegant, so fluid, so—
huh?
huh????? someone's addressing HER??!?! )
Eeep! I can't dance with you!!!
( suletta was so focused, she didn't even catch what this person said. they could have been asking the time for all she knows. )
you give me fifty-nine percent from libration
( somehow, being inside this giant house of flora and mysteries is the calmest suletta has felt since arriving here. plants just have a relaxing effect, she supposes. it's also probably because all the plants here remind suletta of miorine's garden back at home.
most of her time inside this big, glass garden is spent enjoying the flowers and trying decide on which one she should bring back home and look after for miorine. should she try to dig up the giant, glowing one? or maybe the one that looks more like a fruit? the small flowers are nice, too, so maybe that's the one she should take. decisions, decisions...
suletta doesn't even realize just how deep into the jungle she's wandered until she spins about and realizes that she has no idea where she is or how she got there. ironically, she's great under stress, so the fact that she's completely, entirely lost steels her resolve more than it induces panic. all she has to do is find an exit. she can do that. once she finds her way out, she take all the flowers she wants back to miorine!
with that in mind, she approaches someone with a small smile. )
Excuse me. Have you seen the exit? I have to bring plants to someone important.

Just as a warning: Suletta is seventeen, which is on the low end. All these prompts are pretty general for that reason. I'm here for shipping and smutting, but I want to make her age super clear before people tag in!
I don't think she has a canon birthday, but let's say it's in June, so she'll be 18 shortly.
